I initially teased this app stack back in Feb of last year. Since then I have looked around at many other tools like Stan.store, Whop, and others but have ultimately returned to the exact stack I had theorized…
Beacons
Ultimate link-in-bio directory page that converts higher than your standard websites, while replacing the need for tools like Wordpress, Kartra, Kajabi, Teachable or Even Kit (formerly known as ConvertKit)
Substack
GENUINELY community-focused and completely free newsletter tool. Substack can effectively host multiple newsletters or podcasts. You can set up broadcast channels that can also be sent out as emails and basically have a twitter feed built into it to maximize your ability to engage with others and get high-quality organic traffic with this platform being primarily for writers.
Notion
Notion joins this year’s line-up just because I’ve picked up on the fact that every one of your favorite creators likely didn’t overthink/complicate their system starting out. They just made something functional in notion to stay on top of ongoing creative projects. Because this is such a foundational tool I figured I’d mention it for those who needed the reminder.
Conclusion
These 3 tools combined can save you hundreds of dollars every month and consolidate your creative efforts so you can just focus on the things that matter like improving your creative workflows.
Honorable Mention
Whop is also a free platform I’ve had my eyes on that seems like they are doing monetization and consolidation of community resources quite well. I almost went all in there, I’m keeping my eyes on it for now with the potential to still be used because It may be a streamlined space for hosting events, courses, discord access, and other digital downloads effectively.
If you want to start using Beacons you can join using my code to support the org.
